Scheduled maintenance on mainnet.base.org public RPC (removal of debug/trace/txpool namespaces and lower read rate limits) has been completed as planned. No further action is needed; apps relying on these namespaces or higher throughput should use a dedicated RPC provider. Upstream incident: https://base-l2.statuspage.io/incidents/jrs0dpj60tqz

Monitoring
Base has begun the previously scheduled Oct 8 changes to the public mainnet.base.org RPC endpoint, removing the debug, trace, and txpool namespaces and applying lower rate limits to read requests. Apps depending on these namespaces or needing higher throughput should move to a dedicated RPC provider now. Upstream incident: https://base-l2.statuspage.io/incidents/jrs0dpj60tqz

Investigating
Base has scheduled a change to the free mainnet.base.org public RPC starting Oct 8, 2026 12:00 UTC through Oct 9, 2026 12:00 UTC: the debug, trace, and txpool namespaces will no longer be served, and read requests will face lower rate limits. Services on Base using those namespaces or needing higher throughput should migrate to a dedicated RPC provider before Oct 8. Upstream incident: https://base-l2.statuspage.io/incidents/jrs0dpj60tqz
